On September 19, 2009 the Mark Brandt Trio teamed up with singer Marie Miller for an incredible evening of music at Rappahannock Cellars in Huntly, Virginia. The owners were looking for the “right touch” when considering a musical group to compliment their gold medal winning Super Meritage red wine for an evening of celebration. A good time was had by all. The overwhelming consensus from the owners of the winery and those who were in attendance was a call for more events like this one in the near future. Jazz and wine always makes for a great combination. Not just any wine, but wine from Rappahannock Cellars, and not just any jazz, but that which is delivered by the Mark Brandt Jazz Trio.

The Concert Club of Prince George's Community College was delighted to host the Mark Brandt Jazz Trio. The trio brought a wonderfully varied program of original music, and they executed it all with aplomb. Pianist Mark Brandt was a gracious emcee, and was able to explain aspects of the music to the students simply and with charm. The audience was treated to beautiful ballads and lively uptempo numbers, and no one wanted to leave!
We would highly recommend the Mark Brandt Trio as an excellent performing ensemble with great audience appeal and an energizing sound. The college hopes to have them back for future engagements!

Just a short note to say thanks so much to the Mark Brandt Trio for your recent appearance at our center in Manassas. Your show was a phenomenal success! Your selections were wonderful and reminiscent of a wonderful evening out at a great jazz club. The music provided a terrific afternoon for all of those in attendance. One woman told me “there's nothing like sitting back, just to listen to the beat of the rhythm”. Another said “those drums…..oh…those drums.” What a great afternoon! We look forward to another date in the future - it can't happen soon enough!

These guys definitely have a tight groove together. They have a unique and exciting way of blending their awesome original tunes with the standards of the great jazz artists.
